Our story began in 1993 at a time when Indian cuisine was relatively unknown in the Toronto area. Arvinda Chauhan set out to introduce people to the wonderful world of authentic Indian cuisine through her specialized Indian cooking classes ~ Arvinda's Healthy Gourmet Indian Cooking. Arvinda differentiated her recipes by showing students the “home-style” way of cooking Indian cuisine, using less oil and only fresh, wholesome ingredients and spices to create delicious, mouth-watering dishes. We use as many organic ingredients we can and use locally-grown produce when in season. We teach regional menus from across the Indian subcontinent. Today Arvinda’s is a leader in authentic Indian cooking classes and in offering restaurants, caterers and manufacturers authentic, premium quality Indian spice blends for their menus and products.
